Dance Artist & Culture Producer
I am a Japanese dance artist and culture producer based in Sweden. After graduating from Arnhem Dans Academie in 2001, I began my professional career in Europe, performing with companies such as Norrdans, Skånes Dansteater, and Zappalà Danza.
Since 2009, I have worked as a freelance dancer, choreographer, teacher, and interdisciplinary collaborator in international artistic contexts. Between 2013 and 2024, I was active in Nya Rörelsen, developing dance projects shaped by my Japanese heritage and life in Sweden. My choreographic work blends these cultural influences into a distinctive dance and theatre language that seeks to create poetic, emotionally resonant experiences and deep connections with audiences.
Today, my work continues through RUM I DANS, where I focus on choreography, cultural production, and community-based artistic projects that create space for dialogue, inclusion, and human connection.
